More from TEDx Broadway…
Mark Fisher and Michael Keeler of Mark Fisher Fitness (the fitness home of choice for the Broadway community) talked about theatre having the power to create community and that is is possible to extend the magic of theatre beyond the proscenium. They spoke about leading with your values and becoming an authentic reflection of your beliefs, by the example you set.
They both spoke about helping their clients, called Ninjas, get 1% physically stronger everyday.
And this got me to thinking. what if everyone’s goal is simply to make theatre 1% better everyday. This could start in a number of very personal ways. As an actor, make today’s audition 1% better than yesterday’s. As an usher, make you audience’s experience 1% better.
Just 1% each day.
Imagine, if just one person did this today. And then because of today’s example, tomorrow there were two people making theatre better by just 1%. And then the next day there were four people.
Small tiny changes can have huge results. We all can create the theatre we want, simply by creating it 1% at a time, each day.
What will be your 1% improvement you make today?
