Really, this very wealthy man, whose name I do not know.

He spoke to a 6th grade graduating class in a very poor neighborhood in inner-city Philadelphia, ten or fifteen years ago.

He told those children that if they got accepted to into college he would pay their entire college tuition, including room and board.

He told them that between his speech that day and college he would be there for them if they needed advice or help. He kept his word. Normally a tiny percentage of those kids from that school would have gone onto college.

Given the resources and hope to do so - something like 95% of them ended up going to college. That is a hero. The ability to make a fundamentally and meaningfully positive difference in another's life.

He exemplifies it. Hero.
