I am a kinesthetic photographer. That is to say, that I feel my images rather than “see” them in my mind as one might traditionally imagine a visual artist to “see”.

The driving dynamic force in my work is the distinct feeling they individually invoke when I take them. However much I rely on intuition in my work, the process is very precise. The edges of my visual composition are absolutely important. I do not crop my images from how they were originally shot. I think this quality of my photography, has to do with the extraordinarily strong diagonal lines that exist in all my compositions and where they intersect the edges, and specifically the corners of the frame. It is here that the power of the images resides.
